India and the Arab countries have a long-standing deep and historical friendship. These relations have contributed to enhancing economic and trade exchange between them. Therefore, in the last fifteen years, Arab-Indian economic relations have witnessed remarkable development at the level of investment and trade, and at the level of relations between its institutions, chambers of commerce, and professional, national, and regional associations, which made India the ideal trading partner for Arab countries.
In this context and within the framework of strengthening and developing Arab-Indian economic relations, the Joint India-Arab Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture was established with the recommendations of the Fifth Arab-Indian Buyers’ Meeting in Muscat-Oman 2016, and the India-Arab Partnership Conference in New Delhi 2023. The approval of the Arab and Indian authorities was taken in accordance with Indian law. It was accredited by The Indian government, the Union of Arab Chambers, and the Arab Chambers of Commerce of the 22 Arab countries., which since its inception has received the full support from main Indian authorities and institutions.
The recognition and support that the Chamber enjoys, made it to impose itself as an active and credible institution on the India-Arab scene and as an effective partner that contributes to strengthening trade relations and supporting economic cooperation between Arab and Indian countries. It also works to provide appropriate conditions for developing these relations through activities, events and forums organized by the Chamber with the aim of facilitating trade and economic exchange between the Arab and Indian parties and providing constructive opportunities to organize meetings between Indian and Arab businessmen.
